





RP Energy Fund (RPEF) is a Mauritius-based Variable Capital Company (VCC), licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius under License No. GB24203652, with the composite CIS Manager License No. GB24203646 under RP Energy Limited. With a target fund size of USD 30 billion, RPEF is dedicated to driving impactful energy solutions across Africa and addressing the continent’s persistent energy supply chain gaps. The fund leverages Africa’s abundant natural energy resources—including hydrocarbons, biofuels, solar, wind, and other sustainable energy sources—to foster innovation, sustainability, and resilience in the energy sector. RPEF is domiciled in Mauritius, with its administrative office in South Africa. As part of its strategic growth, the fund plans to establish feeder points in key global financial hubs, including Dubai, Singapore, Delaware, and Luxembourg, enhancing its reach and influence across international energy funding markets.
The fund operates through three specialized sub-funds, each targeting a critical area within the energy sector:
1. RP Energy Development Fund Sub-Fund 1 (RPEF-SF1) is dedicated to advancing research, and development finance within the energy sector, with a strategic focus on alternative energy sources.
2. RP Energy Midstream Infrastructure Sub-Fund 2 (RPEF-SF2): Invests in midstream energy projects, including pipelines, storage facilities, refineries, and regasification plants, ensuring efficient energy transfer and supply chain resilience.
3. RP Trade Finance Sub Fund 3 (RPEF-SF3): Provides trade finance and pre- financing activities within Africa’s high growth petroleum sector, leveraging strategic partnerships with leading oil and gas traders, while balancing economic and sustainability objectives.
