Mr. Kingsley Muwowo is a seasoned C-Suite Executive and transformational leader with over 30 years of extensive experience in finance, treasury, governance, risk, and compliance. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a remarkable track record of delivering exceptional results in revenue and profitability generation, risk management, compliance, and stakeholder management. Mr. Muwowo possesses a unique blend of strategic vision, leadership prowess, and operational excellence, which he leverages to drive organizational improvement and implement best practices.

As the Chief Executive Officer of RP Energy Fund (a subsidiary of Rising Petroleum (Pty) Limited), Kingsley spearheads the strategic direction and operational management of the fund, ensuring alignment with its vision, mission and objectives. He excels in leading, motivating, and organizing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. He has a proven track record to formulate bankable strategic plans, establish robust corporate governance practices, and implement effective risk management frameworks to achieve set goals and objectives. Kingsley brings hands-on expertise in a wide range of functional areas, including governance, executive management, debt restructuring, strategy formulation and execution, resource mobilization, funds raising and management, investor relations, financial management, risk and compliance management. His leadership skills, coupled with his analytical acumen and problem-solving abilities enables him to drive sustainable growth and navigate complex challenges effectively.

Kingsley has held a multitude of leadership, board, and committee roles, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the finance and investment industry. He has served in pivotal positions at large African Multi-lateral Development Financial Institutions (MDFIs) such as Managing Director, Chief Finance Officer at Shelter Afrique. In addition, he held positions of Director, Business Advisory; Chief Finance Officer; Director, Risk & Compliance; Principal Officer, and Executive Assistant to the President/CEO at the Trade & Development Bank (TDB), formerly PTA Bank. Prior to joining MDFIs, Kingsley had contributed his wealth of experience to various other organisations in Zambia, including serving as a Part-Time Lecturer in Accounting &. Finance at the Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS), National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), and Zambia Insurance Business College (ZBIC); General Manager at the Zampost Bureau de Change. His tenure at the Zambia State Insurance Corporation (ZSIC) saw him hold several key roles, including Acting Managing Director, Finance Director, Investments Director, Treasury Manager, and Finance Manager. Kingsley has also made significant contributions to governance, risk management, and strategic planning as a Board Member of the Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company (TMRC) where he also served as on the Audit and Risk Committees (ARC); Africa Intercontinental Insurance Services, London, UK (Board and member of the Audit & Finance Committee; Zambia Insurance Business College Trust (ZIBCT). In September 2023, Kingsley was appointed to the Board of Marcopolo Tiles Company, Zambia as a Non-Executive Director representing the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).

Kingsley holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance Major Degree from the State University of New York (SUNY), Binghamton, US; Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Zambia. Kingsley studied and qualified for the Chartered Certified Accounting professional qualification at the Sandwell College of Higher Education, West Bromwich, UK. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK and a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Certified Accountants (ZICA). Kingsley is also a trained Certified Stockbroker and holds an International Certified Risk and Compliance Professional (CRCP) certification after rigorous study from the Institute of Certified Risk and Compliance Professional, USA.
