Ms. Yedwa Mbali Mjiako brings over 30 years of distinguished experience in senior management positions and corporate governance to her role as Non-Executive Director of RP Energy Fund. With a robust background in internal auditing, corporate governance, and business risk management, Ms. Mjiako possesses a unique blend of skills that align with the objectives of RP Energy Fund. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a proven track record of success in both the public and private sectors, leveraging her expertise to drive lean business operations, reduce operating costs, and enhance customer service. Notable achievements include the establishment of the Internal Audit Function at the National Treasury of South Africa and the effective leadership of risk teams in ABSA Financial Services.

Ms. Mjiako’s extensive work experience spans various industries, including banking, financial services, and consulting, where she has held key leadership roles such as, Head of Corporate Functions Audits at Standard Bank Group, and Chief Operating Officer at Barclays Shared Services Africa (BSSA), Founder and CEO of Yedwa and Associates (Pty) Ltd. Her tenure in these positions has been marked by her ability to implement agile ways of work and drive organizational change, particularly during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to her corporate roles, Ms. Mjiako is actively involved in community development initiatives and serves on several boards and committees, including Volvo Group, Tshwane University of Technology Council, and Ithala SOC Limited. Her dedication to community involvement and leadership roles in various professional organizations, such as the Association of Black Accountants in Southern Africa (ABASA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., reflects her commitment to driving positive change and making positive impact in society.

Ms. Mjiako holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Auditing, Cost & Management from Vista University (University of Johannesburg) and an MBA from Thames Valley University of London in Association with Milpark Business School. She also holds certifications in Internal Auditing and Control Self-Assessment from the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Ms. Yedwa Mjiako is poised to make valuable contributions to the strategic direction and governance of RP Energy Fund.
